Community Watch

In several AMCC neighborhoods, residents lead a Community Watch program designed to allow neighbors to help in the fight against crime and bond through service. AMCC has registered the Community Watch Program with the USAonWatch.org, which provides tools and communication plans to local Community Watch groups to help in the fight against crime.

There are several benefits of having a Community Watch program within our communities including: crime reduction, better quality of life for residents, greater sense of security, responsibility and personal control, as well as provide community pride. Cherry Point Command, AMCC Staff and PMO/Havelock Police Department will be on-site to help answer questions and organize the first initial Community Watch meeting.  AMCC is providing the meeting space, signage for this initiative and educational tips for crime prevention.  AMCC is asking interested residents to volunteer to organize the Community Watch team.

If interested in joining or meeting your neighbors, all residents are invited!
